Students may access digital library resources 24/7 via the internet. Follett Destiny Library Catalog

Designated check-out times are
8:00-8:20 a.m., 10:00-10:15 a.m., and 1:05-1:15 p.m

PYP
PYP classes visit the library once a week with the librarian to borrow and return books.
MYP/Cambridge
MYP/Cambridge subject group classes visit the library regularly to borrow books and supplement their research for units of inquiry.

    • • Promotes responsibility of balanced literacy within the PYP and MYP

      • Assists in the implementation of Columbia University’s reading and writing workshop model

      • Provides research and reading for elementary and middle school teachers to to improve literacy practices

      • Work with Resource Coordinator to reorganize classroom libraries In order to keep levels current and reflective of student interest

• Ensures that the library, its resources, and the community play an integral role in programme implementation for the PYP and MYP

• Plans, coordinates and oversees special events in the Learning Resource Center

• Plays a central role in supporting students’ inquiry by  by signing off on research for the PYP Exhibition as well as MYP OESA and Personal Projects

• Work with Literacy Specialist to reorganize classroom libraries In order to keep levels current and reflective of student interest
