Borrowing Guidelines
/KFS
• Students may borrow up to 3 books and/or periodicals at a time.
• Up to 3 additional books and/or periodicals may be borrowed by students’ parents to encourage student literacy and promote family reading time.
• KFS staff may borrow any books from the library at any time to encourage professional development and reading for leisure.
• Teachers are encouraged to borrow text sets for book clubs, guided reading, research and inquiry in their classrooms.
• Borrowing time is 2 weeks. Books should be returned within this time.
• Books may be renewed by student request. There is no fine for overdue books.
• For any lost or damaged book, the student is responsible to reimburse the school in full for the cost of the book.
• KFS always welcomes suggestions for new additions to our library collection.
• The librarian may withhold the borrowing of titles if they are not deemed age and/or level appropriate (Common Sense Media is used to determine suitability of content and/or level).
